Flossie L Cornelius, 82, of Maquoketa,formerly of Andrew , died Monday, Jan 6, 2003, at Creastridge Nursing Home , Maquoketa, Iowa.
Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church, Maquoketa. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, Maquoketa.
Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at Carson & Son Funeral and Cremation Services, Maquoketa.
Flossie Peterson was born April 7, 1920 in Clinton county. She married Milo Cornelius in 1942 in Dubuque. They farmed east of Andrew until 1976. Before her marriage, she taught school for three years at the school. She was employed nine years as a cook at Crestridge Nursning Home.
Mermorials may be made to Flossie L. Cornelius Memorial Fund.
Survivors include her husband, Milo; daughter, Judy (Carl) Ganzer, Spragueville; son Richard (Sharon) Cornelius, Fulton, ILL; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brother Havery Peterson, Phoenix,AZ., and half brother Mahlon Peterson , Eau Claire,Wis.
