PADDOCK, MANGLER, GLEASON, PARKER, FIFE, HILTON

Marvin R. Paddock ,65, of 905 Lake St. Sabula, died Wednesday in Mercy Hospital, Clinton.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Calvary Lutheran Church with the Rev Robert Krueger officiating. Visitation will be 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in Law-Jones Funeral Home, Sabula. Burial will be in Miles Cemetery with full Military Rites.
Mr Paddock was born July 14, 1921, in Morrison, to Everett and Josephine Gleason Paddock. He married Apama Mangler, Aug 18, 1941, at Maquoketa. He was an electrician at the Savanna Deport for 22 years, retiring in 1966.
He was a veteran of World War II , a member of Calvary Lutheran Church, past commander of Sabula American Legion, the Sabula V.F.W. and the Chef de Far of Jackson County, and a member of the N.A.R.F.E. of Savanna.
Survivors include his wife ; two sons, Darwin of Sabula and Darly of Carroll Stream, Ill; a daughter, Mrs. Jerry (Cherly) Parker of Savanna; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren ; his stepmother Mrs. Florence Paddock of Louisville, Ky; two sisters , Mrs Morris (Joyce) Fife of Louisville, Ky and Mrs. Clifton( Ann Marie) Hilton of Salem Ind.; a brother ,Lloyd, of Louisville, Ky,; and a stepbrother, Nicky of Louisville Ky.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three grandchildren, four brothers and three sisters.
