Two Sabula Men Die From Injuries In Auto Accident.

Albert Mangler ,46, of Sabula died Saturday afternoon in the Savanna City Hospital , the second victim of an automobile accident which took place earlier in the day at the intersection of Highways 64 and 67 near Sabula. Harold Crest died enroute to the hospital after the car in which he and Mangler were riding rolled over five times.

Funeral services for Crest were held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Krabbenhoft Funeral home at Sabula. The Rev. A.G, Langhols of Preston officiated and burial was made in the Evergreen cemetery.

Funeral services for Mangler were held at 3 p.m. Tuesday in the Krabbenhoft Funeral home with the Rev. I.E. Clements, pastor of the Lyons Methodist Church officiating. Burial was made in the Miles cemetery.

Harold John Crest was born in Preston Aug 18, 1907 , son of Mr and Mrs August Crest.
He received his education in Preston , Miles and Sabula schools and was baptized in the Lutheran faith
He was married to Velma Marburger in 1925 and to this union were Born five children, Eldon , Vera, Robert, Lula Mae, and Wesley, all at home. He is also survived by his father August Crest, of Delmar, three sisters, Mrs Helen Rugger and Mrs. Mabel Anderson, of Maquoketa, and Viola Crest of Columbus, Ohio and one brother Alvin of Fortland Oregon. His mother preceded him in death.

Albert Goerge Mangler was born in Green Island, Dec.23, 1824, son of Henry and Louise Mangler. He was educated in the Green Island Schools and baptized in the the Lutheran church.
He was married to Ellen Yappen May 25 1921. He was a World War veteran and served overseas.
To this union were born nine children, Apama, Lucille, Isabelle, Charles, Wayne, Lloyd,Mary,Albert Jr., and Darwin, all of home. He is also survived by four brother, Harry, Ed, and Elmer of Green Island and Larence of ..........; and one sister, Mrs Anna Smith of Andrew.
Two sisters ,.... and Irene and his mother preceded him in death.
