MONMOUTH--Funeral service for Louis Best, 62, was conducted Monday afternoon in the Methodist church by Rev. S. Knoer.
Mrs. Aletha Allen and Mrs. Edna Zak sang with Mrs. Marian Orris at the piano. Mrs. Bertha Sheldon and Mrs. Frances Orris were in charge of flowers.
Pallbearers were Howard Gee, William Hurst, George Trimble, Fred Voelkers, Louis Zak and C. W. Sheldon. Burial was in the Monmouth cemetery.
Louis Best was born in Davenport, June 28, 1875, and died in the home of his sister-in-law, Mrs. Anna Best, where he has made his home since January, 1939. He never married. He lived in Monmouth about 40 years. Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Louis Johnson, Monmouth and two nephews, Lawrence and Lyness Morse, Savanna, Ill.
