12 September 1917 - The Clinton Advertiser page 5

Mrs. Ida Willard Comstock, wife of Chas. W. Comstock, passed away in Lewiston, Mich.

This brave, beautiful little woman, made a long, patient struggle for continued life, trying the climates of Colorado and Phoenix, Arizona, for hers was a life that could not be spared, and her influence has been felt for the best wherever she has tarried. Most of her married life was spent in Lost Nation, where she organized the "Hearthstone," a club which spread helpfulness. She was a devoted mother and wife, noted for her social graces. She interested herself in all with whom she came in contact. She left no avenue for further self culture to be neglected. With her household responsibilities she found time to study music and languages. She was a strong power in church and home. Besides her husband, three children survive, Mrs. Elsie Doyle of Davenport; Grant, a Canadian officer who has been in active service since the war started, and Kenneth of Phoenix, Arizona, who graduated with highest honors from the University.
