Preston, Iowa, Aug. 6--Mrs. Tim Crowley passed away at her home seven miles north of Preston this morning at three o'clock.

The funeral will be held Wednesday morning with services at St. Joseph's Catholic church at Preston.

Preston, Ia., Aug. 10--Mrs. Tim Crowley passed away at her home Monday morning at 3:30 o'clock and in her passing Preston mourns another noble woman. Mrs. Crowley counted her joys among the environs of her home and enumerated her greatest pleasures when in companionship with her family. These sterling characteristics cherished and cultivated in her family circle endeared her to a wide circle who were proud to call her friend.

For several years Mrs. Crowley had not been enjoying good health, but only the past few weeks has she been confined to her bed, but with brave Christian fortitude she bore her sufferings, hoping that she might be spared to her loved ones, yet ready to answer the final summons when called. Besides the husband with whom she toiled hand in hand for many years she leaves eight sons and one daughter besides six grandchildren.

Mrs. Crowley was born in Bantri, Ireland, in the year 1860 and passed away at her home seven miles north of Preston Monday morning at 3:30 o'clock. In the year 1884 she came to America, and settled in Jackson county, where she has since lived till quietly crossing of the threshold of a new and better life.

Mrs. Crowley was a member of the Catholic church.

Funeral services were held Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock at St. Joseph's church at Preston, Rev. Father Hayes being the officiating clergyman. Interment was made in the Preston Catholic cemetery.

She leaves to mourn her death a loving husband, six sons, Bert, George, Joseph, Frank and Ed at home and James of St. Paul, one daughter, Miss Rosetta of Marshalltown.

Among the out of town people who attended the funeral were: James Crowley, St. Paul; Rosetta Crowley, Marshalltown, Mrs. Thomas Caton, Delmar; Mr. and Mrs. M. F. Donald and son, Martin, Delmar.
