Maquoketa, Ia., March 8--Another old soldier of the Civil war answered the final call and was mustered out when Richard Bigelow passed away at his home at 8 p.m., March 6th, 1917, aged 73 years, 5 months and 16 days. He was born in Canada Oct. 5, 1843, and was a blacksmith by trade and very popular among his associates. The funeral will be held at the home tomorrow (Friday) afternoon at one o'clock, Rev. Kidder officiating. Interment will be made in the Pence cemetery.
