Maquoketa -- Mrs. Ann Spire aged 83 years, passed away at the county home near Andrew Friday morning about 6 o'clock, death being due to the infirmities incidental to old age. Deceased was the wife of Chris Spire who resides near Springbrook, and had been an inmate of the home since September. The funeral was held from the M.E. church at Andrew Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock, interment being made in the Andrew cemetery.
