Maquoketa, Iowa, Oct. 24--At the home of her son, Roy N. Nims at Bridgeport, Mrs. Julia Miller Nims passed away Monday morning after an illness of about four weeks. She was married in Bellevue Nov. 2, 1871, to O. W. Nims to which union were born 4 children, all of whom with the husband survive. They are Eva J. Patterson of Bridgeport, Mary N. Patterson of Los Angeles, Daisy N. Frisby of Baldwin and Roy N. Nims of Bridgeport.

Mrs. Nims was an active and faithful member of the M.E. church as well as an active worker in the W.R.C. and in lodge and church circles, her presence and counsel will be greatly missed. The funeral was held from the old home at Bridgeport this afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev. J. J. Kidder officiating. Interment in the Bridgeport cemetery.
