Maquoketa, Ia., Sept. 23--Mrs. Elizabeth Said passed away at her home near Iron Hill Tuesday night at 11:30 o'clock after a long illness.

Mrs. Said had been in poor health for over eight years, but was uncomplaining and bore her sufferings with true Christian fortitude.

Elizabeth Haskings was born in Hartford, Ohio, August 7, 1834, and came with her parents to Iowa when a small child.

She was united in marriage to Zachariah Said, who died in 1908. Four sons and three daughters survive: Jefferson of Ringwold, Okla.; Lewis and Walter of Iron Hill; Mrs. Elmer Baty, of Exchange, Mo.; Mrs. Sam Dauge and Mrs. Edward Prindle of Iron Hill.

The funeral service was held at 10 o'clock yesterday morning at the old Iron Hill church, Rev. John Heide officiating. Interment was made in the Iron Hill cemetery.
