Bellevue, Iowa, Oct. 11--Mrs. Herman Rave after years of poor health and several times her life being despaired of let go of earthly things at her home in the county Sunday afternoon. She had been feeling unusually well for the past few months, and was in the field helping with some light work on Friday and was taken sick there and brought to the house where every thing was done that could but to no avail as she steadily failed until Sunday as stated. She was born in the sunny south of New Orleans, 42 years ago and almost seven months ago she came to Bellevue 31 years ago where she met and married and six daughters. Mrs. ago last June. She was the mother of a large family. She is survived by the husband and six daughters, Mrs. Parker of Dubuque, Blanche, Helen, Elsie, Everilda and Laverna, three sons, Herman, Henry and John. They were all at her bedside when the end came. Funeral services were held from St. Joseph's church Thursday morning and were very. The Rosary society of which she was a member was in attendance and escorted the funeral procession to the Catholic cemetery where the body was tenderly laid to rest. The pall bearers were Anton and Conrad Earnest, Anton and Frank Severding, Nickolas Kieffer and Bernard Rolling. Father Bies officiated.
