Maquoketa, Ia. Aug. 24--After an illness of several weeks, Mrs. G. Wilms of Andrew passed away at the Iowa Sanatorium Tuesday morning about seven o'clock, following an operation, and where she had been since the Friday previous. The remains were taken to the Buchner undertaking parlors, thence to the home at Andrew.

Deceased was born August 29, 1854 in Clayton county, Iowa, and in 1885 was united in marriage to G. Wilms of near Andrew and for twenty-six years resided in the old farm home four miles north of that city, removing to the town in 1911 where they have since resided. Mrs. Wilms had been a life-long member of the German Lutheran church and had ever taken an active interest in her church work. A kind, faithful wife, a loving, indulgent mother and a good friend she will be greatly missed and the entire community mourns her passing.

She is survived by her husband, G. Wilms, two sons, Carl of Kimball, S. D. and John at home, also one daughter, Henrietta, at home. The funeral will be held from the late home at 10:30 o'clock Friday morning, Rev. Hast of Andrew officiating. Interment will be made in the Andrew cemetery.
