Maquoketa, Iowa, July 10--Dennis Poole died yesterday morning at 2:30 at the home of his daughter, Mrs. A. M. Blake. Deceased was born Nov. 26, 1827, in Washington county, Ohio, and came to Jackson county in 1866, settling five miles north of Maquoketa, where he spent practically his entire life until his wife died in January, 1909. Ten children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Poole, five dying in infancy. Those left to mourn are Mrs. E. Wickers, Mrs. W. Campbell, James I. and Mrs. Laura Blake. The funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon at 1:30 from the home of Mrs. Blake and services will be held at Esgate at 2:30. Rev. Bartholomew will officiate and interment will be made in the Esgate cemetery. Deceased was a kindly old gentleman and had many friends by whom he will be sadly missed.
