Mrs. Breeden was born in Johnstown, Penn. January 2, 1839, and when a girl of thirteen years came with her parents down the Ohio river to the Mississippi, thence up to Bellevue, from which point they went to near Fulton, in the vicinity of which the deceased has since made her home. She was united in marriage at Fulton to B. B. Breeden in the year 1861, and to this union were born seven children, four of whom survive to mourn the death of a devoted mother, Mr. Breeden preceding her to the Great Beyond in 1906. The children are: Mrs. Dora O'Donnell of this city, Mrs. Lillie Goreham, of Des Moines, Miss Arizona Breeden of Grand Rapids, Mich., and C. B. Breeden on the old homestead. Three step children are also left to mourn her death. For twenty-five years Mrs. Breeden had been a member of the Latter Day Saints church, and was until the last a most earnest and consistent Christian.
