Maquoketa, Ia. Aug. 11--Mrs. Margaret Brittendall Mitchell, another old pioneer, died August 9, 1916, at her home. She was born in Maryland, Jan. 30, 1832, being in her 85th year. Her husband, better known by the older residents, as "Hod" Mitchell preceded her a good many years ago. She leaves two children, Mrs. Thursa Cowing, Mrs. Hattie Cowing, ten grand children and seven great grand children to mourn her loss.

The funeral will probably be held tomorrow Saturday.
