Baldwin, Iowa, Aug. 11--The funeral of Mrs. Lavina Downes was held at the M.E. church at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon Rev. Mellor of Monmouth presiding. Hers was an accidental death caused from falling down cellar Sunday morning about 6:30 o'clock. She leaves to mourn her death, three sons, David of Denver, Co., Willard, of Kansas City, Nebraska and Elmer of south of town. Three daughters, Mrs. G. W. Sanders, of near Lost Nation, Mrs. McCracken of Rockford, Ill., and Mrs. Welsh of Texas, besides a host of other relatives and friends. Interment was made at the Pence cemetery.
