Homer Moore, 90, of Maquoketa, died Monday at the Jackson County Public Hospital.

The funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Carson funeral home. The Rev. Jerry Wolcott of the Maquoketa United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Canton cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home.

Mr. Moore was born Nov. 6, 1879 in Jackson County, the son of Thomas and Rosetta Carr Moore. He married Florence Ralston, Jan 20, 1901, in Maquoketa.

Survivors include five sons, Alfred of Olin, Thomas and Bird, both of Maquoketa, Lester and Louis both of Clinton, a daughter, Mrs. Fern Gahn [Graham] of Burlington; 30 grandchildren; 91 great-grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and two brothers, Leonard of Tipton and Bill of Maquoketa. He was preceded in death by his wife, two sons, a daughter, six brothers and four sisters.
