Bellevue, Ia. Aug. 2--The death of Daniel Marburger occurred at his home south of town Tuesday afternoon. He was an old and respected farmer in that neighborhood. He was born in Germany, where he grew to manhood and served his country in the military training of that country, and also served his country in the war with Austria in '66 and won the decoration for bravery in that struggle. He came to America nearly a half century ago and soon after was married to Miss Sophia Meyer, and they were the parents of a large family of children. Seven, with the wife, remain to mourn. They are August, Will, Fred, Edward, Clara, Edith and Catherine. They are all either at home with the mother or near her in homes of their own. Mr. Marburger was almost 77 years of age and had been in poor health for years and his death was not unexpected.

The funeral was held Thursday afternoon from St. John's Lutheran church, of which deceased was a member. Rev. Mr. Tchman conducted the services at the house, church and the Lutheran cemetery.
