Maquoketa, Ia. Aug. 1--At his home three miles north of Iron Hill, occurred the death of Israel Edwards, an old and respected pioneer of Jackson county, Sunday afternoon at one o'clock. Had Mr. Edwards lived until yesterday he would have been seventy-nine years of age. The funeral will be held from the late home Wednesday afternoon at two o'clock. Elder John Heide officiating. Interment will be made in the Streets cemetery.
