Sabula, Ia., June 12--Mrs. Mark E. Perkins passed away at her home in Sabula on Friday morning at 6 a.m. after a number of months' sickness. She was born in England and at the age of 2 she came with her parents to the United States and after landing in the United States they took a steamer on the Mississippi and came straight to Sabula. Her parents passed away a number of years ago. In 1890 she was married to Mr. Perkins and he passed away in 1905 and since then she has been living alone. She has lived in Sabula for 59 years and she was a true Christian belonging to the Congregational church of this city. She was loved by all who knew her and her death was deeply mourned by all. The funeral services were held at the old home on Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev. D. V. Butler officiating. The casket was covered with many beautiful flowers. She is survived only by one cousin in this country, Wm. Thompson, of Davenport.
