Maquoketa, Ia. June 15--Grandmother Palmer passed away June 7th, aged 86 years, 4 months and 12 days, at her home in Marion, where she has resided for the past nine years.

Miss Mary Barbara Lechleitner was born in Ashland county, Ohio, on the 25th of January, 1830, and lived there with her parents until after her marriage, when she came to Maquoketa, Iowa, where she lived for 53 years. Upon the death of her husband and daughter, she went to Marion.

When she was 24 years old she was united in marriage to Mr. Joseph Palmer, who died 22 years ago this spring. To this union there were born three sons and one daughter, all of whom have gone on before.

She leaves to mourn her departure the members of her son's family, Mrs. Eva Palmer, and her three daughters, Miss Minnie Styles of Des Moines, Mrs. Florence Blazek and Ernestine Palmer of Marion, and one brother, who lives in Nebraska, besides other relatives and friends.

The services were from the home at 10 o'clock Friday morning, by Elder L. M. Starr, minister of the Christian church, and interment was in Oak Shade cemetery, Marion, beside her son.
