Maquoketa, Ia., June 8--At 2:30 Wednesday morning, June 7, 1916, Jeremiah Potter, of near Emeline, was called to his reward, after an illness of nearly eleven weeks, not being able to lie down during all of that time, aged 65 years, 7 months, 5 days, being born Nov. 2, 1851, his wife having preceded him about four years ago. He leaves one son, Delbert Potter, to mourn his loss, who resides near Emeline. The funeral was held at Emeline at 2 p.m., Rev. Malotte of Monmouth officiating. Interment at Hickory Grove.
