28 March 1916 - The Clinton Advertiser

Bellevue, Ia. March 28--At her home on Second street, Miss Hanna H. Griebel after much suffering departed this life. But a short time ago she underwent an operation in a Chicago hospital and hopes were entertained for her speedy and perfect recovery, but it was decreed otherwise. She was the daughter of Henry and Minnie Griebel, born to them some thirty-eight years ago at Lamotte, Ia. Her father and mother have both preceded her to the other world. She leaves to mourn her demise four brothers and three sisters. Miss Griebel was a devoted member of the Evangelical Lutheran church.

Funeral services were held Tuesday from the home in Bellevue and from the Lutheran church at St. Donatus. So large a concourse of people gathered at the church there was not room in the building to hold them. Ernest Mutschman, her pastor, assisted by the Lutheran choir, conducted the services which were very impressive.

Pall bearers were Lawrence Griebel, Royal Felderman, Ben and Harvey Felderman, Henry Bullerdick and Roy Yeager.
