OBITUARY: Mrs. Paul Rasmussen
Mrs. Paul Rasmussen, 75 years old, who died last Friday of organic heart disease, was buried in Evergreen cemetery Sunday afternoon. Mrs. Rasmussen, who has been living alone since the death of her husband over a year ago, was found dead in her home Friday by her son, Cern. She was not seen since Thursday morning, but the medical examiner showed that death came some time Friday morning. Dr. F.D. Ayres attended the body and found a dilated heart, which meant that heart disease was the cause of death. The county corner was notified, but no inquest was held. Two children survive Mr. Rasmussen, one daughter, Mrs. Rosenberg of Clinton and a son, Cern Rasmussen of Beloit, Wis. Burial was Sunday afternoon in Evergreen cemetery following services which were held in the home, the Rev. F.E. Mastin officiated, and Mrs. Jacobs and Miss Etta Seeber sang. Pallbearers were Jens Madsen, John White, Pete Busch, John Kuempel, Chris Petersen and Carl Jorgensen. Out of town visitors who came to the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. A. Hansen, and Helen Matson of Chicago, Mrs. Will Winter, Mrs. H. Stoneberg, Mrs. Harry Pettit, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Rosenberg, and Mr. and Mrs. Bertcamsen of Clinton and Marion Lund of Savanna. Mrs. Paul Rasmussen’s maiden name was Eline Ellen Lund. She was born March 26, 1856 in Lystrup, Denmark. She died at the age of 75 years, 2 months, and 22 days.
