ANNA McDONNELL

Miss Anna McDonnell, 83, lifelong resident of the North Garryowen and Cascade communities, died at the family home here Thursday, December 13, 1956, at 12, midnight. She had been in poor health for some time.

Funeral services were held at 8:30 o'clock Monday morning, December 17 from the Devaney Funeral Home to St. Patrick's church, North Garryowen. The pastor, Rev. James Cassidy, offered the Requiem Mass, gave the absolution, delivered the sermon and officiated at the graveside in the parish cemetery.

Born on the family farm at North Garryowen, on December 22, 1873, she received her education in St. Patrick's school, and lived her entire life in that community with the exception of' the past two years which were spent in Cascade.

Surviving her passing are her brother, William, and sister, Mary, both of Cascade, and numerous nieces and nephews, most of whom reside In the Garryowen communities.

Fr. J. F. Matter, pastor of St. Mary's, with which parish the deceased was affiliated during her residence here, recited the Rosary at the funeral home at 7:30 Sunday evening.

Pallbearers were Raymond McDonnell, Joseph McDonnell, Paul McDonnell, Ambrose McDonnell, Ed. Shannon, Clem English.
