MRS. DANIEL NOONAN CALLED

Prominent Garryowen Lady Summoned Tuesday.

Mrs. Daniel Noonan died at the family residence in Butler township Jackson county, at an early hour Tuesday morning, July 31st, after an extended illness.

Mary Magdalen Ward was born in Butler township, Jackson county, March 28th, 1857, and was a daughter of the late John Ward and Mary Rogan Ward.

She was married to Daniel T. Noonan on April 2d; 1883, by the Rev. Father Kelly, and is survived by her husband and the following children: Josephine, wife of James J. Boyle, of Mason City; and Misses Lizzie, Margaret and Ellen and one son M. B. Noonan, all of Garryowen. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters, Miss Anna Ward, Mrs. Sarah Kinsella and Patrick and Timothy Ward.

Mrs. Noonan was a woman of exceptional character and Christian virtues, a life-long and devout Catholic whose death comes as a most severe blow to the husband, the children and brothers and sisters, as well as many neighbors and friends among whom she spent all the years of her life and where she was honored and esteemed.

The funeral services were held on Wednesday at 10:30 A. M. at St. Patrick's church, Garryowen, Rev. Mulcahy officiating.

The pallbearers were Pat O'Connell, Pat Crotty, Owen McMahon, James Reddin, M. Foley, William Stanton, M. Noonan and Dan Noonan.
