CHARLES O'BRIEN

Charles Ambrose O'Brien, 75, Bernard, died at 4:15 a.m., August 30, at the family residence, one mile north of Bernard. He had been in ill health for the past two years.

Friends called at the Devaney Funeral Home, Cascade, from where funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Friday to St. Patrick's church, Garryowen. The Rev. Francis Phelan officiated at the Requiem Mass and burial in St. Patrick's cemetery.

Active casketbearers were Dick Molony, Jim Molony, Daniel McCarthy, Charles McCarthy, John Molony, Wilfred McCarthy.

Honorary bearers were Frank Maloy, Elmer Meloy, Jim Ronek, Cy Meloy, Walter Meloy, John Melloy, Mike McClain, Joe Theisen.

The deceased was born at Bernard, July 24, 1892, son of Maurice and Honora (McCarthy) O'Brien. He was married to the former Mary Cannon.

He is survived by his wife, Mary He was preceded in death by 3 children.
