DEATH OF YOUNG GIRL

Daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles O'Brien Died at Hospital

Mr. and Mrs. Charles O'Brien, of Bernard, have been called upon to mourn the death of their daughter, Margaret Mary, who died at Mercy hospital in Dubuque at 4:30 p.m. June 16th from heart trouble and the sympathy of the entire community is with them in their sore distress.

Mary Margaret was born July 9, 1917, and was therefore 9 years, 11 months and 7 days old when summoned. She was the eldest daughter and besides her bereaved parents is survived by one sister Nora and her loving grandfather, James Cannon.

She had remarkable talent for her age and was a pupil in St. Patrick's parochial school at Garryowen, where she was popular and beloved by all the students.

The funeral services were held at St. Patrick's church, Garry Owen, Saturday, June 18th.

The pallbearers were Joseph Feeney, Wm. Leonard, Paul Leonard, James Meloy, Mike Moloney and Donald Noonan.
