Patrick Noonan

Patrick Joseph Noonan, 80, died at 3:00 A.M. Thursday, March 25 at Mercy Hospital, in Dubuque.

Funeral services were held from the Richard Devaney Funeral Home in Cascade to St. Patrick’s Church at North Garryowen, Saturday March 27 at 10:00 A.M. Burial was in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, North Garryowen, with the Rev. James Cassidy pastor officiating at the Requiem Mass and graveside services.

Pallbearers were John Melloy, Robert Melloy, Ed Melloy, Wm. Noonan, Allan Redmond, and Wm. Donovan, all nephews of the deceased.

Patrick Noonan was born in North Garryowen, June 1, 1884, son of Edward and Mary (Hawks) Noonan. He was a carpenter by trade all of his life in the Bernard and Garryowen area. He had been ill the past three months.

Survivors include one brother James, of Bernard, three sisters Mrs. Elizabeth Melloy, Bernard, Mrs. Wm. (Josephine) Redmond, Cedar Rapids, and Mrs. Theresa Redmond, Dubuque and many nieces and nephews.
