ORLAND STANTON

Orland Stanton, age 45, formerly of Garryowen, died in Chicago, Friday morning. Mr. Stanton had made his home in that city for several years.

Orland Stanton was born August 17, 1904, in Garryowen, the son of the late William and Agnes (Mahoney) Stanton. He is survived by two sisters – Mrs. Dan (Mary) Martin of Cascade, Mrs. Francis (Mildred) Wolfe of Cascade, and one brother, Lloyd Stanton of Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Mr. Stanton was preceded in death by his parents, [one?] brother and one sister.

Funeral services were held from the Devaney Funeral Home to St. Patrick’s Church, Garryowen, Monday morning. Rev Thomas O’Toole, pastor, celebrated the Requiem High Mass and delivered the sermon. Interment was made in St. Patrick's cemetery, Fr. O'Toole reciting the prayers at the graveside.

Pallbearers were Harold and Walter Noonan, Joseph Martin, William Riordan, Leo McDermott and William Stanton.
