ALVIN O'DONNELL

Alvin O'Donnell, for twenty-five years a resident of the city of Chicago, Ill., died suddenly in that city Tuesday, June 17. His body was returned to Cascade Thursday, June 19. Saturday morning, June 21, funeral services were held from the Devaney Funeral Home to St. Patrick's Church, Garryowen. The pastor, Rev. Fr. P. F. Malone, offered a Mass of Requiem. Interment was made in the nearby cemetery.

Alvin O'Donnell, son of Thomas and Emma O'Donnell, was born at Garryowen June 22, 1901. He received his education In St. Patrick's School, Garryowen. Twenty-five years ago he removed to Chicago, Ill., which has continuously been his home ever since with the exception of military service. At the time of his death he was an employee of the Wabash Railway.

Mr. O'Donnell was a veteran of World War II, having served both in the Aleutians and South Pacific with the 696tt Signal Air Warning Battalion. Cascade Post, American Legion, 528, accorded him full military honors at the funeral services Saturday morning.

Surviving Mr. O'Donnell are two sisters, Mrs. Lillian Moriarity, Chicago, Ill., Mrs. J. C. Christenson, Peoria, Ill., and one brother, Vincent, Cheyenne, Wyo., together with several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearer were Raymond Melloy, Jerry Ryle, Wm. Dunn, Hubert Donovan, Leslie McCarthy, Frank Malloy.
