Mrs. English burial Monday
Mrs. Hannah Josephine English, 89, Bernard, died at 12:30 p.m. Friday, June 4 at the Senior Home in Monticello.
Friends called at the Devaney Funeral Home in Cascade from where services were held Monday at 10 a.m. to St. Patrick's church, North Garryowen. The Rev. William Arquitt, pastor, officiated at the services and burial in St. Patrick's cemetery.
Casketbearers were Thomas English, William English, Ronnie Carr, Robert Carr, Charles Carr, Mike McCullough, Robert Henneberry and Bob Hanley, all grandsons of the deceased.
The deceased was born August 24, 1881 at North Garryowen, daughter of the late Patrick and Johanna (Roach) Reddin. She was married to Dominic English who preceded her in death on February 7, 1929. She lived in the Garryowen area all of her life, except the past 3 years.
Surviving her passing are two sons, Clem and Dom, both of Bernard; one sister [sic, s/b daughter], Mrs. M. L. (Mae) Carr, Bernard, 14 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and one sister-in-law, Mrs. Dan (Ida) Reddin, Faith, So. Dakota.
