MRS. MARY McDONNELL

NORTH GARRYOWEN – Mrs. Mary Josephine McDonnell, 85, of North Garryowen, died at 11 p.m. Wednesday at the Frommelt – Schaeffer Convalescent Home after a long illness. She was the widow of John McDonnell.

Friends may call after 1 p.m. Friday at the Hoffmann Mortuary. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Church of the Nativity. The Rev. W. Dean Walz, assistant pastor, will officiate at the Requiem High Mass. Burial will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery at North Garryowen.

She was a member of the Rosary Society of Nativity parish.

She was born at Garryowen, daughter of James Thomas and Mary Louise Hampton Burns and lived in the Garryowen vicinity most of her life.
Surviving are a brother-in-law and a sister-in-law, James and Katie McDonnell, both of Dubuque.

The Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Friday at the mortuary.
