Mr. Andrew Noonan Died During Week

Andrew Noonan died at his home in Garryowen Friday morning, September 21st at 8:15 o'clock. He h a d been ill for the past year and death was due to the infirmities of old age.

Funeral services were held Monday morning from the family home to St. Patrick's Church, North Garryowen at 9:30 with burial in St. Patrick's cemetery.

Andrew Noonan was the son of Cornelius and Bridget Noonan and was born May 9th, 1856, in New York State. Shortly after his birth the family moved to Garryowen where he has made his home ever since and later attended the rural schools. He was one of the successful farmers of the community.

On October 11, 1887, he was united in marriage to Miss Elizabeth McCarthy at St. Patrick's Church, Garryowen.

He is survived by three daughters, Katie, at home, Mrs. Patrick (Mayme) O'Connell, Bernard, Mrs. John (Bessie) Lynch, Dubuque, three sons, Dan, Bernard, Andrew, Jr., and Joseph at home. A granddaughter, Miss Rosalia O'Connell, who has made her home with them since the death of her mother, also survives.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, three daughters, one son, three brothers and one sister.

Pallbearers were Mike D. Noonan, Albert Stlckley, Victor Rollinger, Joe Sadler, Orland Boyle, Gerald O'Connell, Will Stanton and John Felton.

Devaney & Son were in charge of funeral arrangements.
