George Clark

American Legion services are planned for George E. Clark, 48, of rural Maquoketa who died Monday, June 25, [1984], at his home. Mr. Clark was a victim of cancer.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 28 at Carson Funeral Home. Burial will be in Street Cemetery.

Mr. Clark was born May 12, 1936 in rural Bernard to Ezra and Louise Durkop Clark. On July 5, 1959 he married Shirley Mollenhauer in the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa

A veteran of the Korean War, he was a member and past commander of Maquoketa American Legion Post 75.

He was also a member of the Elwood United Methodist Church and was employed at Caterpiller in Mt. Joy.

Survivors include his wife, one daughter, Kimberly of branson, Mo; two sons, Jeffrey of Clinton and Bryan of Maquoketa; one grandson; one sister, Mrs. Darlene Streets of Monmouth, and four brothers, Henry of Monmouth, Leonard of Galena, Mo; David of Stockton and Glenn of Maquoketa.

His parents, six sisters and three brothers proceeded him in death.

Friends and relatives may call at Carson Funeral hom from 3-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 27.
