Maquoketa, Iowa

Willie H. Hammer, 66, of Maquoketa died Monday, Nov. 9, 1987 at Veterans Administration Hospital, Iowa City.

Services at 1 pm Thursday at the Carson Funeral Home. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, DeWitt. (part of paragraph omitted)

Mr. Hammer was born May 16, 1921 in Maquoketa. He married Faye Eye Feb. 5, 1977, in Maquoketa. He worked at Swift & Co., Clinton, and was a member of the American Legion.

Surviving besides his wife are two sons, George of Maquoketa and Fred of Arkansas; a daughter Pam Green of Maquoketa; two stepsons, William and Larry Eye, and two stepdaugters, Mrs. James (Judy) Brown and Mrs. Ronald (Peggy) Miller, all of Maquoketa; and seven grandchildren, nine stepgrandchildren, and one stepj-great-grandchild.

A Memorial fund has been established.
