Andrew P. Bertelsen Laid to Rest
Funeral services for the late A. P. Bertelsen, who passed away at his home in Los Angeles, California, on June 5, were held Saturday morning. Rev. Father Craney had charge of the committal service and the body was laid to rest in Sacred Heart cemetery.
Andrew Peter Bertelsen was born July 10, 1855, at Miles, Iowa, and was a son of Andrew and Christina Andersen Bertelsen. In 1884 he was married to Jane Christina Powderly who with two sisters, Mrs. Anna Bauch of Maquoketa, Mrs. W. B. Swigart of Minneapolis, and one brother, John H. Bertelsen of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, survive.
Twenty-one years ago Mr. and Mrs. Bertelsen moved from Iowa and since that time have lived in Montana and South Dakota until three years ago they moved to Los Angeles where they have since made their home and where Mr. Bertelsen was a successful hardware dealer.
