Mrs. Minnie C. Barten
Maquoketa, Iowa

Mrs. Minnie (Clark) C. Barten, 69, of Maquoketa died Friday night, Aug. 28, 1987, at Mill Valley Care Center, Bellevue.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Haylock, O'Hara and Kedley Funeral Home, Maquoketa, where friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday. Burial will be in Preston Cemetery.

Mrs. Barten, who was born Feb. 10, 1918, married Elmer Barten March 19, 1935. She was a clerk at Osterhaus Pharmacy, Maquoketa, until she retired. She was a member of the United Church of Christ, Maquoketa, and the 1918 Club.

Surviving besides her husband are three daughters, Mrs. Ester Weirup of Baldwin, and Mrs. Marcella Heneke and Mrs. Violet "Vi" Miller, both of Maquoketa; a son, Alvin of Maquoketa; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; her mother, Mrs. Clara Clark of Maquoketa; five sisters, Mrs. Oliver Culver of Preston, Mrs. Clara Jochum of Green Island, Mrs. Virginia Watters of Maquoketa, Mrs. Rosalie McDermott of Sabula and Mrs. Patricia Hayton of Clinton; and three brothers, Lindus Clark of Fulton, Ill., Tom Clark of Le Claire and Bill Clark of Cascade.

Note: Her parents were Charles W. Clark and Clara Hogg.
