Walter Sutton of Maquoketa, was injured Wednesday evening, November 23 when a wagon in which he was riding was struck by an automobile. He was taken to St. Luke's Hospital, Davenport, where he died.

Walter S. Sutton was born July 13, 1880 in Jackson County, the youngest child of William Sutton and Anna Roush Sutton. His entire life had been spent in the vicinity of his birth.

In February, 1915, he was united in marriage with Harriet Mayberry and to this union were born two daughters, Camilla and Annabelle, who with the wife and mother are left to mourn the passing of a loving husband and father. He is also survived by brothers, Russell, George and John, and one sister Martha Olive. His parents preceded him in death.

Mr. Sutton had for many years followed the occupation of farming, and had always resided in the Fulton area. The funeral service will be held at 1:30 o'clock Friday at the late home and at 2 o'clock at the Fulton Methodist church. The Rev. Calkins of Andrew will officiate.
