Mrs. Annie Potter

Services Friday

Funeral services for Mrs. Annie Potter, 91, of Maquoketa, who died Tuesday evening in a local nursing home, will be held Friday at 3 p.m. in the W. G. Carson & Son funeral home. Interment will be in Hickory Grove cemetery.

Mrs. Potter was born Oct. 31, 1872, the daughter of George and Linda Hinderlighter Frye*, and on Aug. 31, 1889, married Nathan Potter at Buckhorn; he died December 23, 1921.

Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Viola Watters, Mrs. William (Sarah) Moore and Mrs. Elmer (Edith) Schurbon, all of Maquoketa, Mrs. Maude Knight of Welton, Ia., and Mrs. Mae Wagoner in California; five sons, Joseph P., George, William L., and Raymond of Maquoketa and James of Boscobel, Wisc; two sisters, Mrs. Lena Copeland of Peoria, Ill., and Mrs. Loretta Hartwidge of Ft. Wayne, Ind.; and 38 grandchildren, 78 great grandchildren and 24 great great grandchildren.

Her husband, parents, five daughter and five sisters preceded her.

(*Spelling of Annie's mother's maiden name on Nathan and Annie's marriage register is spelled Hudeline and the name Frye is spelled Fry).
