FARLEY, Iowa -- Ursula A. Manderscheid, 99, of Oak Crest Manor, formerly of Farley, died at 5:17 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 28, 2010, at Mercy Medical Center-Dyersville.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 31, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Farley, with the Rev. John P. Ptacek officiating. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Key West, Iowa. Friends may call from 8 to 10 a.m. Tuesday at Reiff Funeral Home, Farley.

She was born on April 8, 1911, in La Motte, daughter of John and Susan (Portz) Kilburg. She received her education at Holy Rosary School in La Motte.

She married Wilbur "Bill" Manderscheid on Dec. 26, 1934; he preceded her in death on April 13, 1971.

Ursula was employed as a postal clerk for 25 years. She was a member of St. Joseph's Parish in Farley, and a member of its Altar and Rosary Society, NARFE (National Association of Retired Federal Employees) and a former member of Farley-Epworth-Bankston Senior Citizens and the Farley American Legion Auxiliary.

Surviving are several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews; and a guardian angel.

She also was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Norbert, Joseph, Arnold and Isidore Kilburg; and three sisters, Mary Koos, Appolonia Vorwald and Rosalie Hostert.

Memorials for Ursula may be given be given to St. Joseph's Parish and Seton Catholic School in Farley, Iowa.
