KENNETH REED
(February 23, 1933 - June 4, 2011)

Kenneth L. Reed 78, of Bellevue, died Saturday, June 04, 2011 at Mill Valley Care Center in Bellevue.

Per Kenny's wishes there will be no public services. Burial will take place in St. John Lutheran Church Cemetery, Bellevue. Arrangements are being handled by Hachmann Funeral Home & Cremation Services.

Kenny was born February 23, 1933 in Rural Maquoketa, the son of Ancho and Elda (Gnade) Reed. He married Mona Rorah on June 21, 1952 at Salem Lutheran Church in Andrew.

He was self employed as a mechanic and farmer. Kenny had a great sense of humor, was hardworking, independent and determined. He had a love for the outdoors, fishing, boating, hunting and gardening. He was always generous in sharing the produce from his garden. Kenny was very social and enjoyed people. He loved his family and will be deeply missed.

Those left to honor his memory include his wife of 58 years, Mona, of Bellevue; three children, LuAnn (Steve) Beck, of Bellevue, Randy Reed, and Cindy Schreiber, both of Eldridge; two grandchildren, Jennifer (Chris) Hunter and Matthew Beck; three great grandchildren, Cami, Alex, and Brady; brother, Darrell (Margaret) Reed; and a sister, Leana Angell

He was preceded in death by his parents; son-in-law, Albert Schreiber; and two sisters.
