(October 4, 1962 - June 17, 2010)

Dwain D. Nolting, 47, of Iowa City, formerly of Preston died Thursday, June 17, 2010 at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 Saturday, June 26 at Green Island Congregational Church in Green Island where friends may greet the family from 10:00 a.m. until the start of service. Pastor Dennis Keane will officiate. Inurnment will follow lunch in Hazen Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Hachmann Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Bellevue.

Dwain was born October 4, 1962 in Des Moines, the son of Henry and Karen (Teeple) Nolting. He was a welder for many years. He was a 1981 graduate of Preston High School. He enjoyed playing basketball and was an avid Minnesota Viking Fan. He was extremely handy, he could fix anything. He also enjoyed gardening, collecting coins and working on his fathers farm. Those left to honor his memory include his father, Henry Nolting, of Preston; a sister, Diann Nolting, of Preston; and nieces and newphews, Kevin Nolting, Katie Nolting, and Tomi Williams. He was preceded in death by his mother, Karen.

Memorials will be given to Hospice of Iowa City in Dwain's name.
