Susan Carol Kress, 50 of Bellevue, died Sunday November 8, 2009 at Finley Hospital, in Dubuque.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, November 12, 2009 at St. John Lutheran Church, Bellevue. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Kingery~Lemke Funeral Home, and again Thursday morning after 9:30 at the church.

Susan Kress was born on August 7, 1959 in Harvey, Illinois, daughter of Charles and Anne "Nancy" (King) Bentley. She married Willard R. Kress on February 14, 1992.

Susan was employed as the produce manager at Bender's Foods in Bellevue for over four years. "She was larger than life," an incredibly bright spirited women who impacted the life of everyone she met. Susan was unforgettable, she always let you know where she stood and had a great sense of humor. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. She will be deeply missed.

Surviving is her husband, Willard, of Bellevue; four children, LaGina (Jim) Hoth, of Elkader, Courtney (Daryl) Sieverding, of Bellevue, Lindsey (Lyle) Elliott, Bellevue, and Paul Cody Kress, of Bellevue; five grandchildren, Emma, Wyatt, Devon, Christie, and Jarrod; two sisters, Pamela (Richard) Bel, and Catherine Bently; and a niece, Kristin (Rick) Schaddelee.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation and gratitude to the ICU nursing staff of Finley Hospital, for the great care and compassion shown to Susan.
