Elaine Ann Kucera
(May 9, 1928 - August 16, 2009)Elaine Ann Kucera, 81 of Bellevue, died Sunday, August 16, 2009 at Mill Valley Care Center.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, August 20 at Kingery~Lemke Funeral Home, Bellevue officiated by Pastor Paul Gammelin. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Friends may call from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at Kingery~Lemke Funeral Home and again Thursday at the funeral home from 9:30 until service time.
Elaine was born on May 9, 1928 in Bellevue, daughter of Max and Sophia (Behnke) Meyer. She married Charles Kucera on April 18, 1949, he passed away on March 28, 1980.
She worked for Ensign Coil in Bellevue for over 30 years. Elaine always spoke her mind and had a good sense of humor. She loved her family and enjoyed life. She spent a great deal of time reading, playing cards and visiting with friends.
Surviving are her five children, Diana Burkey, of Baldwin, Connie (John) Chantos, of Bellevue, Romel (Larry) McCutcheon, of Bellevue, Doug (Amy) Kucera, of Maquoketa, and Dan (Mary) Kucera, of Bellevue; 14 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband and three sisters, Maxine Specht, Betty Lou Bauer and Marilyn Headley; and a son-in-law, John Burkey.
