BELLEVUE, Iowa -- Allan L. Eganhouse, 88, of Bellevue, died Thursday, Nov. 1, 2007, at Mill Valley Care Center, Bellevue.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Bellevue, with the Rev. Stephen Meyer officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery where military rites will be accorded by the Bellevue American Legion Post 273. Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. at Kingery-John C. Lemke Funeral Home, Bellevue. Friends also may call after 9:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home until time of procession.

He was born on June 9, 1919, in Bellevue, son of Albert and Helena (Hager) Eganhouse. He married Marcelene Franzen on April 29, 1953, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Bellevue.

Allan was a farmer. He was proud to have served his country during World War II in the Army.

He was a member of the Bellevue Knights of Columbus and the American Legion.

Dancing, fishing, airplanes and John Deere Tractors were among his favorite interests.

Surviving are his loving wife, Marcy, of Bellevue; five sons, Dean (Karen) Eganhouse, of Fulton, Ill., Duane (Mary Jo) Eganhouse, of Davenport, Mark (Jane) Eganhouse, of Bellevue, Roger (Susan) Eganhouse, of De Witt, and Darryl (Kay) Eganhouse, of Magnolia, Ark.; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three brothers, Eldon (Betty) Eganhouse, of Maquoketa, Omer (Betty) Eganhouse, of Clinton, and Rod Eganhouse, of Davenport; two sisters, Jane Lord, of Clinton, and Imogene (Harold) Styer, of Dubuque; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a son, Gary Eganhouse.
