BELLEVUE, Iowa - Virginia E. Deppe, 62, of 37200-160th, Bellevue, died Saturday morning, Sept. 30, 2000, at home.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Springbrook, with burial in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Kingery Funeral Home, Bellevue, where there will be a scripture service at 7 p.m. Friends also may call after 9:30 a.m. Tues-day at the church.

She was born on May 20, 1938, in Bellevue, daughter of Joseph and Helen (Steichen) Roling.

She married Robert H. Deppe on June 2, 1962, in Bellevue. They farmed near Springbrook. He died on April 29, 1992.

She was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church and parish council, the Jackson County Extension Council and the Andrew Pedal Pals Garden Club. She also was a member of Singles in Agriculture and the Springbrook quilters.

Surviving are three daughters, Christine (Randy) Kilburg, of Bellevue, Cynthia Deppe (fianc Kent Evenson), of Benson, Minn., and Catherine Deppe, of Metamora, Ill.; three sons, Daniel (Wendy) Deppe, of Ankeny, Douglas (Kim) Deppe, of Andrew, and Dennis (Jennifer) Deppe, of Waverly; six grandchildren, Tony, Kaitlin, Nicholas and Allison Kilburg, and Alec and Rachel Deppe; two sisters, Isabelle Stillmunkes, of Bellevue, and Lucille (Robert) Merkes, of Dubuque; and four brothers, Richard (Carol) Roling, Glenn (Marcella) Roling, and Orville (Rosemary) Roling, all of Bellevue, and Aloysious (Leona) Roling, of Peosta.

She also was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers and three sisters.
