ANDREW, Iowa - Allan A. Deppe, 77, of Andrew, died Thursday, June 24, 1999, as the result of injuries sustained in a farm accident.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. John's Catholic Church, Andrew, with burial in the church cemetery.

Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Haylock-O'Hara & Lahey Funeral Home, Maquoketa, where there will be a vigil service at 5:30 p.m.

ANDREW, Iowa - Allan A. Deppe, 77, of Andrew, died Thursday, June 24, 1999, at home as the result of a farm accident.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. John's Catholic Church, Andrew, with the Rev. Clayton Landherr officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today at Haylock-O'Hara & Lahey Funeral Home, Maquoketa, where there will be a vigil service at 5:30 p.m.

Mr. Deppe farmed all of his life in the Andrew area.

He was born on Oct. 20, 1921, in Bellevue, son of Henry and Pearl (Dierkson) Deppe. He married Lucille Peters on Oct. 23, 1946, at St. John's Catholic Church, Andrew.

He was a World War II Army veteran, having served in the airborne division. He was a member of St. John's Catholic Church, Andrew, and the Jackson County Cattlemen's Association.

Surviving are his wife, Lucille Deppe, of Andrew; a daughter, Mary Lou (Steve) Hudrlik, of Andrew; three sons, Jim (JoAnne) Deppe, of Ames, Larry (Kim) Deppe, of LaMotte, and John (Joell) Deppe, of Maquoketa; 12 grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; and two sisters, Rosemary Schwager, of Bellevue; and Carol Schaefer, of Dubuque.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Robert Deppe.
