Deceased Name: WILLIAM C. BORMANN
ZWINGLE, Iowa - William C. Bormann, 61, of Zwingle, died after a short illness Thursday morning, July 19, 2001, at The Finley Hospital, Dubuque.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. John's Lutheran Church, St. Donatus, with the Rev. Judy Deckert officiating. Burial will be in the St. John's Lutheran Church Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Carson & Son Funeral and Cremation Services, Maquoketa.
Mr. Bormann worked at Clinton Engines, Maquoketa. He then farmed in the Zwingle area from 1962 until the present.
He was born on Oct. 6, 1939, in La Motte, son of William J. and Viola W. (Wiegert) Bormann. He married Norla Felderman on May 6, 1961.
He was a 1957 graduate of Andrew High School. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church. He enjoyed being with his children and grandchildren.
Surviving are his wife, Norla, of Zwingle; two sons, Martin (Brenda) Bormann, of Bernard, and Bruce (Julie) Bormann, of Zwingle, two daughters, Karla (David) Olson, of Maquoketa, Pam (Craig) Manderscheid, of Maquoketa; eight grandchildren; two brothers, Glen (Norma) Bormann, of La Motte, and Vernon (Wanda) Bormann, of La Motte; three sisters, Lois Ann (Cornelius) Bradley, of La Motte, Donna (Eldon) Busch, of Bellevue, and Verla (Bill) Beck, of Maquoketa.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A William C. Bormann Memorial Fund has been established.
