BERNARD, Iowa - Judith R. (Budde) Chase Weis, 51, of 16456 Twelve Mile Road, Bernard, died Tuesday evening, March 15, 2005, at Mercy Medical Center-Dubuque.Services will be at noon Saturday at Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Road, Dubuque, where friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Cascade. Friends also may call after 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

She was born on Oct. 26, 1953, in Bellevue, daughter of Merrill and Rosalyn (Ernst) Budde.

She attended the East Dubuque (Ill.) High School and later South Missouri State University.

She married Jan B. Chase in Dubuque; he preceded her in death on Jan. 9, 1991. She later married Mark T. Weis on Feb. 14, 1994, at First Church of God, Lake Wells, Fla.

She had worked for the former Central Foam Co. and later worked for the Boy's and Girl's Club in Springfield, Mo.

She loved arts and crafts and doing hobby work. She enjoyed her plants, flowers and gardening, but her true love was her family, especially her grandchildren.

Surviving are her husband, Mark, of Bernard; five sons, Jerry L. Chase, of Florida, Jason L. (Katerina) Chase, of Tennessee, Jan B. (Jill) Chase Jr., of Kentucky, Alan J. Weis, of Kansas, and Mark A. (Jessica) Weis, of Baldwin; two daughters, Aryanna L. and Claryssa L. Weis, both of Bernard; seven grandchildren; her mother, Rosalyn Hill, of Bellevue; three brothers, Dan (Suzie) Budde, of Milan, Ill., Keith (Joyce) Budde, of East Dubuque, and Mark (Lisa) Budde, of Fairfax; three sisters, Carol Willis, of Dubuque, Jeannie (Mike) Schultz, of East Dubuque, and Annette Budde, of Highlands Ranch, Colo.

She also was preceded in death by her father, Merrill Budde; two sisters, Mary and Janice; and a brother, Gary.
